After a dismal attempt at conducting ticket sales, it was finally time for the actual 3Some party on Sentosa. The party took place at Wavehouse on the far side of the island. It was a gorgeous location, but the only drawback was that a competing company had decided to hold a rival party (Life’s a Beach) right next door. The company had apparently been set on sabotaging 3Some for the past 3 years and apparently book their venue directly after 3Some.
Ready to kick their butts, I had planned to head out to Sentosa early to check out the rest of the island. Its home to a Universal Studios and definitely carries an Orlando, Florida vibe with its colourful Sentosa Xpress trains, artificial mountains and choreographed water shows, complete with fireworks display. (Un)fortunately, a storm system also decided to spend the day on the island, so we opted to arrive just in time to get the party started. I began the evening putting glow sticks together, blowing up balloons and having them pop directly into my eyeballs. Once the party began to kick off, I decided to check out the next-door competition (after a quick dip in ocean) and have to admit that I had a pretty good time taking part in a massive water fight in their foam pool. However, it definitely didn’t compare to bodysurfing the free flow back at 3Some ;)
